Dinner!
Okay, first a quick warning: this picture may disturb some people. To me it is nature in all it's stunning and savage glory, which does indeed involve the animals I love to draw having to catch and kill their own food.
That said, it's not exactly gory, so don't worry about that
I came across this picture and it attracted me immediately. I don't know if it's because I was feeling kind of like the zebra at that point in time, having just been handed bad news from work However, drawing it was pretty therapuetic, I must say.
It's about 10x15", on drafting film, using Polychromos and Prismacolour pencils.

I'm ok as long as there aren't any blood or guts showing. *laugh*
Stunning, Dee, Stunning!
Damn, you are one fine artist Dee!!!! And I love your subject matter. Absolutely dumbstrucking awesome!!!
it surprises me there is no blood - and the lion seems so matter of fact about the whole ordeal.
Wow! This is my first time here Dee, and I just have to say... wow! You are an amazing artist! And you did this with pencils... amazing!
Hope you're feeling a lot less 'caught in the jaws of life' today. ;)

Elizabeth: I didn't want it to be too detailed *grin*
Jebus: Thank you!
Leah: I keep surprising myself, I must say - and I still love doing it. I think I'm more into the "action" shots at the moment...
Miss Britt: Didn't want to scare to many people off :)
Stacy: Thanks for taking the time to look through them all! Coloured Pencils are one excellent medium, so much control.
